It is late, I am not sleeping... I'll rant a bit.

So, a big pet peeve of mine is when people do not take responsibility for themselves and their own actions. I am not perfect, but I do try to follow that as close as possible, especially these days. Of course, there is the occasion where maybe you drink too much, or you are dead tired and something slips out... But for the most part I try to live with a clean conscience and try to take responsibility for me.

I kind of got involved in a weird situation recently, where I became unnecessarily and unwantingly (is that a word??) entangled with two people that are totally emotionally and mentally unstable, and have not taken responsibility for themselves. It is a weird feeling when you are dealing with people like that, almost like you are drowning, and a hand is pushing on your chest - keeping you under water... I try to remove those people from my life, as it is just not healthy.

Another thing, weak people - and I am not talking about sensitive - I am talking about weak people, with low self esteem, low self worth, insecure, jealous, etc... People that let people other take advantage of them, won't stand up for themselves, etc... I think that is another bothersome thing for me. I am a pretty independent woman, I rely on myself - and of course I use my family and some friends as a safety net, as everyone should have a security net as sometimes you do fall down... but for the most part I do it on my own, and I like it that way.

Oh, another thing I like, is boundaries. I find that in the past few years, especially since moving to Seattle, I have found my boundary comfort levels, defined them, and know where I place most people in my life, and where they are within the boundaries. Boundaries keep things simple, and easy to deal with, and well, drama free.

This past weekend, I stupidly crossed a boundary. Partly because I was caught off guard and partly because I felt bad for one of the parties involved, and my womanly, helping, nurturing, fix everything instincts kicked in... I felt bad for both people in this situation, especially the woman (stupid, I know, they brought it on themselves!) and now, I am kicking myself for not just hanging up the phone right away. Damn curiosity, it always kills the cat!

But I will say this, even though it is not the easiest thing... When you are in a relationship, and shady shit happens, and you catch your honey in lies, it is time to leave, because the lies get worse, and deeper, and then you end up investing time and energy, which will only end up hurting more in the long run. If someone brings out the bad in you, the sadness in you, makes you hurt... leave! Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and if you are not getting respect then it is time to get out!

Last night Randon and I walked to the market and then met up with Tom, Mike and Mike's son for the M's game.

We walked to the stadium, but on our way stopped at this Mexican restaurant at Harbor Steps called Guaymas Cantina. It was so-so. The service was pretty bad though, very slow and we were one of the only tables. They kept forgetting to bring our drinks and we had to ask for our drinks three times. They finally came with the meal. The margarita was watered down and the food was just OK. The salsa bar was fully stocked with a few options, which was good. It is convenient place if you are near it, but if you are craving good Mexican or margaritas... go elsewhere.

We went to the M's game and had pretty good 3rd row seats, but right in the section where you get all the line drives. Actually some girl got hit in like the 3rd inning in the section next to ours. This guy in the pics caught the ball, and he didn't give it to her. Instead like 2 seconds later he called his buddy to tell him he caught a ball. Really, douchebag, it's a foul ball, give it to the girl who got a broken nose by catching it with her face. Speaking of face, my face is still so swollen in these pics!

Yeah, if you know this guy, you should call him out.

After the game, we all went to Umi Sake House for sushi and some drinks. After that we cabbed to Ballard to meet up with my friend Greg at the Tractor. We stayed there a bit, had a few drinks... ended up closing out the bar.

We had to go out to Market Street to get a cab, and this cab slowed for us, and before he would let us in he called us to the window and said... Let me see you. He then said alright, get in. As we were driving he explained that lately he has been picking up a lot of "tweakers" and those people are crazy and will slit your throat for a few bucks... We obviously we not tweakers, so he drove us home. Weird.

He sleeps forever, I have been trying to get him to wake up for hours. He is on eastcoast time, you would think he would be up at 7... but it's now 11 and the kid is still asleep!!! I want breakfast!!

Oh, the cruise boat is in... which I do not know why that makes me so happy, but it does.

Tonight Tom and I went to Anthony's on Pier 66 for some dinner. I like going here because it is an easy walk from my apartment and you can eat on the waterfront. We ate outside, which was fine when the sun was out, but as soon as that sun went behind the clouds, we were ordering blankets (luckily they stock blankets for cold patrons!) We split the mussels, but they were not as good as I remembered them at the upstairs Anthony's. I had the Ahi bowl (what I always used to get in 2005 before my friend would take me to the airport) and Tom had the Mahi Mahi Tacos. Both our meals were really yummy. Also, Anthony's is pretty affordable if you eat downstairs at the "Bell Street Diner" vs. the upstairs. Oh, if you ever go here and have the chance to get corn on the cob, order it!

Then we went back to Tom's house, but only after stopping at the party store to pick up some M&M's and Nestle Chocolate Chips in hopes Mike (Tom's roomie) would make cookies - thus breaking his diet. It did not work. We watched some sitcoms and then Tom drove me home, so the crackheads wouldn't get me...

I am all stressed about this court BS I have to deal with, but it will all be over soon! The defense attorney wants to interview me, but has not yet. I am hoping the 23 page letter I wrote to the prosecutor will be sufficient enough and the douche will plea it out. I love Washingtons laws on assault, because even if you were scared/did not want to press charges, they make it very easy for you - because the city presses the charges.

And now, bed.

The NBA approved the move, that was a given... now the lawsuit is in effect. I really hope this move-saga ends with the Sonics staying here, in my favorite city... NBA owners approve Sonics' move, pending litigation And of course David Stern is still behind Clay Bennett, they are boys. And from what I hear, from people who would know, David Stern is a douchebag.

Oh, and thank yous go out to Paul Allen and the Trailblazers and Mark Cuban and the Mavs!
